Derry-Londonderry is old town that has ancestry dating back to 540 AD. It is the second largest city in Northern Ireland. The architecture is a mix of Classical, Gothic and Beaux Arts. There are many defensive walls from historical wars throughout the city to protect it.Between the city runs The River Foyle. This river is approximately 130 kms long. The river is used for mostly recreational activities but was a dividing point of the city to slow enemies from invading Due to such unstable historic events there are many murals, monuments and symbolic structure throughout the city. These are to recognize and understand the history and to create a bond between all.
With tensions flaring with the introduction of Brexit we request for a design that can accomodate a shared space for all people.Particularly focusing on a breakout spot, stage and available food and beverages for the community. We would like to make the space on the iconic Peace Bridge as a representation of the city

Addressing the smell problems. There are multiple complaints about smell sewerage, fish and decay of plant materials from the water. Since the polluted smell mostly coming from the river we would like to address the smell problem with our upcoming proposal
Shadows. This is what the bridge would look like with the shadows at 8 am to 4 pm. The shadow from the bridge are always in the river, meaning that adding an extension to the bridge will not cause any shadow impact on parks and neighbouring buildings.

Introducing New Programs. There are several different programs on the bridge, including an interac-tive area, tunnel experience for our coffee tiles, food market stalls, recre-ation area and a staging area for bands. The programs are designed tobecome a focal point when it comes to activities and events. Our aim is toutilize the bridge, not just as an access way to cross over the river but tointeract with other people and its growing culture.
The pod is made up of three different materials. 15 grams of Peat Moss (PM), 20 grams of spent coffee grounds and 30 grams of natural clay. In process, I then created a homemade press that allows for the seed pod to remove unnecessary water and the clay to set. The result is hard (but brittle) pod that allows for the needed boost inseeds. Through thorough research i came to conclusions which material will work with coffee grounds and then testing allows me to see if it will be suitable for indoor use and vertical points

We wanted to keep using the same design language, using the same organic shapes and using the same structure, to match with the existing bridge. The bridge is a symbolic icon, changing how the bridge look feels like we are taking it core value away from the people. We added 2 new entrances which connect to the existing bridge and then splits off, going under the existing path before connecting it backup to the other side of the bridge. The added path allows more people to cross the bridge and adds new addition spaces for our programs.
